SEMINAR

How many of you went to Seminar?

What did you learn?

Was this your first or your tenth, how many Seminars have you attened?

How did this year compare?

Share with us what you learn and if you had a good time. I went to Seminar last year this year it wasn't possible for me to go and I wish that I could have. So next year I will have to plan better and just go. I am also going to try and make it to Career Conference, I know that some say these are just RAH RAH's however sometimes you need that. So I am planning better.

Share you thoughts and opinions.

I didn't go to Seminar this year. I went in 2004 and didn't enjoy it. My recruiter upset me and by the time I got home I was ready to sell my stuff back! My director knows this.

My reasons for disliking Seminar had nothing to do with MKC. This is what ultimately calmed me down and made me decide I LOVE my MK business, but I was mad at some behaviors I witnessed.

With that said, I really had planned to go this year. Life happened, however, and I was unable to go. My director and fellow unit members are there now. I think it ends today. We are Emerald.

My 2004 experience told me I should at least achieve some sales goals or car status if I'm going to justify Seminar. I didn't really "see the big picture" by being there. I did see some fabulous speakers:

Phyllis Sammons
Nora Shariff
Kathy Helou (of course, she is my NSD!)
Yvonne Lemmon
Anne Newbury

The awards night was long to me. I am happy for every woman who achieved her dreams, but by the 50th person and there are still TONS to go...it just got long. LOL This is where I think I would be more appreciative if I was either appearing onstage myself or knew someone who was.

I also think I would have enjoyed Seminar 2004 more if my director had been there. That year, she had a family trip planned way in advance. She attended Ruby Seminar instead. Had she been there, I KNOW I would have enjoyed it more.

Career Conference is my favorite corporate event. I have never missed it. I think the training is better than at Seminar. There's TONS of it. I don't feel like CC is "RAH RAH" at all. I felt that way about Seminar. Yea, my hands get sore from clapping (lol), but it's from applauding the speakers and teachers. I tend to come back and work very strong after CC.

Seminar 2009 -- I'll definitely be there! I'll be on stage as a new car driver and/or new director! :D

Shades...I didn't go to seminar either this year. I did go last year and I had a good time. I have been to career conference only once. Although next year I am going to try and make it there too.

I did like seminar it was big and I was dang. I want to be walking across that stage too. That is what I working for. I want to be a new director and a new car driver oh heck let's just go for it the Queen of sales. I really do love this business and I want to be able to work it only. I want to do it ethically and not tell untruths to get people to sign up. I want women that want to work this and not just to order for themselves. The thing is that I would rather make 50% than 4%. Well have a GREAT DAY.

I'm shooting for court of sales, too! We need to earn Ruby Star this quarter to be on target. ;)
